About/Contact
This is the personal blog of Matthew T. Grant, PhD. My professional interests include content marketing, organizational behavior, and corporate education.
My personal interests include Ovid, John Coltrane, and George Jones (oh, yes, and my family and friends).
Of all forms of human expression, music is my favorite and has been an enduring passion throughout my life. I’m also quite taken with words either in written or spoken form.
Find me on LinkedIn or Twitter (though I ain’t there much these days).
And now for a brief history of my vita so far:
After teaching German at Middlebury College, I left the academic world to create the internal training function at Aquent (formerly MacTemps). There I went on to serve as director of communications, speaking publicly on the company’s behalf and heading up a number of social media initiatives including blogs, podcasts, video, and e-newsletters. My title throughout my tenure at Aquent was Minister of Enlightenment.
From 2009 to 2011, I worked as a consultant developing content and content strategy for a number of companies in the tech sector.
From 2001 to 2013, I served as managing editor at MarketingProfs and launched their Marketing Smarts podcast.
In the spring of 2013, I returned to Aquent as Director of Content Strategy.
In the summer of 2015, I joined Aberdeen and am now CMO-in-Residence there.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Stanford University and my PhD from Cornell University, both in the field of German Studies.
